Council Has a New Logo
If you are reading this, you have already found our new website! The previous website was some 8 years old and no longer addressed the council’s needs. As well as not being compliant with current regulations it was lacking in space to showcase the range of community events that can be found in the Parish. The council wants to engage more with the parishioners. It is hoped that this website and our Facebook page will help with this.
The change of logo was driven in part by the recent Accessibility Regulations which mean that the website has to be accessible by as many individuals as possible, regardless of any barriers to accessing the virtual world. One of the changes is the need to provide sufficient contrast between the text and the background. The new logo retains the connection with one of the heritage buildings in the parish. The weathervane on the former Clarence Street Brewery is shaped like a goat.
